About Mindful Awareness Counseling Center

Jennifer Todaro Owner, NCC, LPC

I treat a variety of issues such as PTSD, ADHD, ODD, OCD, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideations, self-esteem issues, substance use, trauma, and behavioral issues. I strive to help children/teens become caring, loving, functional adults with a positive self-image and healthy emotional expression. In my work with adolescents, I help them to achieve life goals, build self-esteem, and healthy peer relationships. For adults with substance use I work with the client to find a path to sobriety by treating the underlying cause, using their inner strengths to support them.

My style is direct, compassionate, and supportive. I have successfully treated children, adolescents, adults and families with a wide range of mental health and substance use issues. I offer Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, ERP, EMDR, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Strengths Based, and Art, Sand, Play techniques.

I work collaboratively with my clients to identify goals to help them achieve their maximum potential. While the underlying concerns vary from client to client, the key to therapy is always providing a nurturing environment in which clients feel safe expressing their emotions.

Dana Lewis NCC, LPC

Do you struggle with anxiety, overwhelming emotions, or finding your footing during difficult times? My name is Dana Lewis, and I am a licensed mental health counselor dedicated to supporting individuals of all ages as they navigate life’s complexities.

One of the cornerstones of my practice is a commitment to the belief that every person is unique. I prioritize a client-centered approach that carefully tailors my therapeutic modalities—drawing from mindfulness, play therapy, ACT, and DBT to fit your specific needs. Whether we are addressing trauma, anxiety, or general life transitions, my goal is to create a safe, warm environment where you are of the utmost value.

With a background in community mental health, I offer a blend of professional expertise and genuine empathy; additionally, I offer particular specialization working with school-aged children with anxiety. I understand the necessity of the therapeutic process because I have seen firsthand how it enriches lives.

I would be honored to partner with you to address the struggles in your daily life and work together toward growth and lasting change.

Sheena Diaz NCC, LPC

Welcome! I’m Sheena Diaz. I help adolescents, college students, and women navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem, major life transitions, perfectionism, family and relationship concerns, and school related issues. I also hold particular care for women moving through pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, and pregnancy loss, seasons that can feel both profound and disorienting. These transitions deserve thoughtful, steady support

I believe healing involves the whole person: mind, body, and soul. Together, we'll move beyond symptom management toward lasting healing and a deeper connection with yourself. Some experiences can't be fully expressed with words alone. When appropriate,  I incorporate creative and expressive approaches that help clients explore emotions, process difficult experiences, and discover new ways of healing. Therapy might include art, writing, movement, music, storytelling, mindfulness, and somatic awareness. Every treatment plan is personalized and created collaboratively because every story is unique.

My passion for this work is rooted in years of supporting adolescents and women through life's many transitions

If you or your teen are struggling, I would be honored to walk alongside you as you embrace new possibilities. Let’s embark on this transformative journey together.
